I love to snack, and sometimes it’s easier to go for the artificial snacks in your pantry than to whip up a healthy alternative. Well, I have an easy and healthy snack recipe for you all that you can make in bulk and snack on throughout the week! Homemade apple chips 🍏🍎 This is a low maintenance recipe that can cook while you are doing other things. There are only 3 simple steps…First, preheat your oven to 200 degrees and thinly slice your apples. A mandolin makes it much easier to get them very thin and evenly sliced. Next, sprinkle each side with a little bit of cinnamon and sugar, spread them out on a sheet tray and pop them in the oven. Lastly, after 2.5 hours take them out of the oven and let cool. They will crisp up even more as they cool!
I was surprised at how crispy and tasty they turned out! I will be experimenting with different apples in the future. For this recipe I used Granny Smith apples as well as Gala apples. Try it out!
